Tech Innovation Wuhan 2018 is part of the series of tech conferences and roadshows, organised by Enterprise Singapore under the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) initiative, that is co-sponsored by the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Bureau, Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Development Zone, the China (Hubei) Pilot Free Trade Zone Office, and Hubei International Science and Technology Exchange Centre.

 

This year, Tech Innovation Wuhan 2018 will be organised on 1 Nov 2018, and will welcome more than 400 delegates from Singapore and Chinese tech start-ups, corporates as well as investors to meet and share new ideas and foster new partnerships. In conjunction with the Hubei International Technology Transfer Matchmaking Conference (also known as Hubei International Tech Conference), this event is expected to draw more than 1,000 delegates from more than 15 countries, featuring technologies and solutions in new retail, new media, smart technologies, internet-of-things (IoT), Big Data, E-commerce, Artificial Intelligence, environmental technologies.

Selected teams will get the opportunity to participate in the pitch competition and showcase your innovative technologies and solutions at Tech Innovation Wuhan 2018, that will provide opportunities to pitch to potential investors and benefit from the unique networking, marketing and business development opportunities. In addition, participants get to join a market immersion segment to gain insights and learn from industry experts and market mentors about their experiences and challenges in navigating the tech scene in China.

Promising teams stand to clinch opportunities to participate in up to three months of accelerator program, that will provide incubation, test-bedding and mentorship opportunities in Wuhan, and facilitate your market entry into China.

Wuhan is the capital of Hubei province and is the largest city in Central China, with a population of more than 10 million people, and is amongst China’s leading emerging cities with an innovation-oriented economy. With more than 1 million undergraduates and 89 colleges and universities, Wuhan currently boost the world’s largest number of university students that provides a good talent pool, and has attracted many startups and high-tech enterprises. Wuhan is also one of the promising cities in China for tech innovation, and Singapore tech companies may wish to tap on the competitive advantages of Wuhan as a good launchpad to venture into China.

Eligible companies will enjoy sponsorship to participate in Tech Innovation Wuhan 2018, including market immersion programme (not inclusive of hotel accommodation, airfare, airport transfers and other incidental expenses to be borne by participants), business matching opportunities and exhibition booth space;
